Redistricting

Redistricting is the process of redrawing the electoral district and precinct boundaries, which takes place after the Census every ten years.

After the 2020 Census, the Maryland General Assembly and the Harford County Council redrew the boundaries that have been in place for the last decade. The three different maps that were redrawn include Congressional, Legislative, and Councilmanic districts. Currently, all three are in litigation.

Below are two likely scenarios, approved by our Board, that may become the new map. Which one depends on the passage of HB35/SB158…

PLAN A – 49 Polling Places w/ 68 Precincts
